Behind the Scenes

A Working Shop, Not a Showroom

Rahn's isn't set up for foot traffic. We're a working restoration shop — 15,000+ square feet in Santa Fe Springs where pieces come in ugly and leave beautiful. There's sawdust on the floor, drying racks full of freshly-lacquered drawer fronts, and a spray booth running most of the day. If you visit, you're stepping into the middle of the work — and that's exactly what customers who care about craft love to see.

What Happens Under This Roof

Stripping bay with laser technology that vaporizes finish without touching wood grain. Woodshop for structural repairs, custom builds, and replacement parts. Upholstery room with the same industrial machines we've used for 50 years. Spray booth with commercial-grade filtration, fully permitted by South Coast AQMD. Climate-controlled storage for pieces mid-project or held long-term.

Two Generations, One Team

Grant Rahn runs the shop day-to-day — he's been doing this since he was a teenager. Nathan Rahn, second generation, handles projects, customer communication, and the modern side of the business. Our craftsmen have been here 15, 20, 50 years. Nobody rotates through Rahn's — they retire from Rahn's.

Want to See It in Person?

Visits are by appointment. Call ahead and we'll set a time to look at your piece in person — and show you what a 50-year-old restoration shop actually looks like. Mon–Fri 8:30am–4:30pm. 13729 Carmenita Rd, Santa Fe Springs.
