Signature Service · Since 1976
Full leather reupholstery, panel replacement, and hide-by-hide restoration for Los Angeles and Orange County. We work exclusively with genuine leather — American hides tanned in France — not the recycled or bonded "leather" being sold in most furniture stores today. Every piece is rebuilt in our Santa Fe Springs workshop. Pricing varies by project.

About the leather we use: everything we install is real hide. Our house line is American cattle leather, sent to a tannery in France that has been finishing hides for over a century. That means top-grain and full-grain aniline and semi-aniline options with the natural grain intact — not the coated "vegan leather," bonded leather, or PU-recycled material that dominates today's showrooms. Those materials look right on day one and delaminate inside three years. Real leather patinas for decades and can be re-conditioned. If you want the sofa to outlive the couch cushions that came before it, this is the material we specify.
To be clear about what we do: we replace leather, we do not do leather repair. If the hide is cracked, torn, worn through, or delaminating, the answer is new leather — a replaced panel, a re-hidden cushion, or a full reupholstery — not a patch or a surface touch-up that fails again in a year. Over 50 years we have seen what mobile touch-up services leave behind, and we would rather do it once, properly.
Everything is done in our Santa Fe Springs shop: the piece is stripped, the frame and springs are checked and rebuilt if needed, new foam goes in, and the new hide is pattern-cut, sewn, and fitted by hand. For built-in banquettes and commercial lobby seating too large to transport, we can work on site.
Shop visits are by appointment — call and we'll schedule your free evaluation — and pickup and delivery are available across LA and Orange County. We are the approved vendor for major insurance carriers including AutoClub, State Farm, Allstate, Mercury, USAA, Chubb, and Safeco.
Leather Services
Strip, reline, re-spring, new foam, new hide. The leather can be anything from Italian full-grain to a custom-selected top-grain hide, cut and sewn in our shop.
When a section is worn out, we source matching or complementary hides and replace individual panels, cushion covers, or arm caps rather than re-covering the whole piece.
Real hide only — American leather tanned in France. We help you choose grade, color, and finish, and match the new hide to the rest of your set before anything is cut.
Loose joints, cracked frames, broken webbing, collapsed seats. We strip the leather, rebuild the frame and springs, replace the foam, and re-upholster — often for less than new retail.
Have a frame you love in fabric? We can re-upholster the same piece in leather, or the other way around, and rebuild the interior while it is open.
For vintage and antique leather worth keeping as-is — gentle cleaning, museum-grade conditioner, and a hand-waxed finish that preserves the patina instead of covering it.
Replacement straps, buckles, and footrest-grade closures, in proper-gauge hardware and matching hide.
Restaurants, hotels, law offices, medical exam furniture, educational chairs. Reupholstery at a fraction of new, with fast turnaround available.

Leather We Know
Not every hide behaves the same. We identify what you have, then choose materials and technique that match.
Premium hides, highest durability. Sofas, club chairs, Eames lounges, custom built-ins.
Soft, natural look, no heavy pigment coat. Dye-through coloring means scratches blend into the surface.
Most common on household sofas. Clear topcoat makes cleaning easy but can crack, peel, or yellow over time.
Bonded leather degrades predictably. We restore where possible. May recommend full re-hide if the substrate is failing.
Brushed surfaces require specialized solvent cleaning, re-napping, and careful color restoration.
Ostrich, crocodile, snakeskin. We handle exotic skins with appropriate tools and adhesives.
Classic car interiors, yacht seating. We work with automotive-grade hides and marine vinyl when needed.
Honest Pricing
Pricing varies by project. There is no fixed fee for leather work — replacing one cushion cover and a full re-hide on a tufted Chesterfield are fundamentally different jobs. Here are the factors that drive cost:
One cushion cover vs. re-hiding an entire sectional.
Full-grain Italian hide costs more than bonded leather.
A straightforward dining chair vs. a tufted Chesterfield with nail-head trim.
Frame repair, spring retie, and new foam add to the job when the piece is already open.
Significant projects, driven heavily by leather selection, can range from $500+ depending on scope.
Significant investment, driven primarily by the hide quality and piece size.

Frequently Asked
My bonded leather is flaking — can that be saved?
+
No — bonded leather cannot be saved, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you a coating that will peel again. If the piece has a good frame, re-hiding it in real leather is the right move; if not, we will tell you it is not worth the money.
Do you work with insurance carriers?
+
Yes. We are an approved vendor for AutoClub, State Farm, Allstate, Mercury, USAA, Chubb, and Safeco. We handle the documentation, photos, and estimates for insurance claims.
Can I change the color of my leather piece?
+
Yes — by re-hiding it. Because we replace leather rather than re-dye it, you can pick any color and grade you want; the new hide is what determines the color, not a coating over the old one. We will show you options and price them before anything is cut.
